Renewable energy generation is growing – the amount of electricity produced by rooftop solar panels has increased to 23% on average compared with the same period in 2022. Also, large-scale wind and solar farms also surged, up 11%, as new projects came online. The gas fired generation dipped to its lowest level in almost 20 years.
